Discussion Post #4Consider the field you plan on entering once you graduate. Think about a research topic that interests you within that field.Main Post: This is a two-part discussion post. First, answer this question in your main post: What research topic did you select, and why?Second, research  TWO articles related to that topic, and answer the following questions for  each article:

  1. Summarize the article.
  2. Evaluate the author(s). Discuss their background, credentials, education, etc. – are they qualified to write this article?
  3. Critique/assess the article – is the article reliable? Is it current? Is it written objectively, or does it possess any bias? Who is the intended audience? Is it a scholarly or popular source?
  4. Reflect on the source and state its applicability to current or future research. How does/would this article fit your research? Is the article helpful? Is it too general or too specific/narrow? Did the article help you narrow your topic?

Response Posts: Respond to FOUR peers’ main posts with replies of 150 words each. Answer the following questions:

  1. Do you feel your peer’s topic is too broad? Too narrow? Provide suggestions for how your peer could either broaden or narrow down their topic, if needed. If the topic is neither too broad nor too narrow, provide suggestions for additional key words/ideas/phrases they should consider researching.
  2. Using the CRAAP Test as a model, evaluate the sources to determine their reliability and credibility. Based on the results of the CRAAP Test, explain why the sources are reliable and credible, or why they are not.

Suggest 1-2 other sources that may also be suitable for this research topic.
