look at document

Look at the document and make changes. 1. Dissertation Title: Title must include research design.2. Chapter 1: Problem Statement: The use of “lack of understanding . . .” is not specific enough for a dissertation. All studies is about lack of understanding. Keep the problem to the point. Too many concepts in the paper, so it is difficult to know the focus. Problem Statement must read like this: The problem is (state the problem and support), resulting in (state the consequences). Also, keep it precise. Keep it to ½ a page or not more than ¾ of a page.  3. Chapter 1: Purpose statement has the word “how” in it for a phenomenological study. It will be difficult to do a “how” study, using a phenomenological design. You also use the word “correlation” which is a terminology not synonymous with qualitative study. Need to work on this section. Next time, post your paper as a Microsoft word document, so you can benefit from embedded comments. 4. Research Design: Does not go with the problem that is described in the paper. No alignment. 5. Chapter 1: Work on alignment of the problem statement, purpose statement, and research question.  6. Insert page number on your paper. 7. Avoid personal pronouns such as “they” throughout the document. 8. Work on tone, readability, scholarship, and rigor. Tutorials: CDS Central, under Student Resources, Writing Resources, Tutorials. Dr. Boone outlines 13 "Tips for Scholarly Writing (16:07)."9.
