Reflect

Congratulations! You have received a call from a potential employer, and they would like you to come in for an interview! The employer has shared a list of possible questions they could ask you so you can be prepared for your interview. You will select one question from each of the five big ideas: issues and trends in your field, environments, personal and ethical practices, leadership, and professional development.

Select the position title of your choice to access the correct interview questions to be prepared for your interview:

Write

Your task is to use ScreenPalLinks to an external site., or some other universally accessible audiovisual application to record yourself responding to the interview questions that correspond with your program. To do so, you will dress and speak professionally as if you are in an actual interview.

You will respond comprehensively to five different questions, one from each category.

  • Start with a brief introduction, stating your name and the position you are applying for.
  • Answer each question comprehensively, aiming for 2–3 minutes per response. Be clear, concise, and professional.
  • End with a closing statement thanking the interviewers for their time and expressing your enthusiasm for the opportunity.

You will submit the recording of your interview questions in two assessments this week: The Interview assignment in Waypoint and The Interview Recording Upload discussion forum. This is necessary so your classmates can access your recording for the Interview Peer Review (Artifact Peer Feedback) discussion forum in Week 5.

In your assignment,

  • Analyze what the interview questions are asking and provide thoughtful, well-structured responses.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the subject matter and the specific requirements of the job role.
  • Incorporate effective non-verbal communication skills, such as body language, eye contact, and professional demeanor, which are crucial components of successful interviews.
