Introduction

This assessment provides an opportunity to identify a relevant healthcare problem that warrants analysis, as well as to introduce yourself and your healthcare interests. You will explore the problem you select throughout this course.

It is now time to self-lead, practice healthcare competencies, and explore a topic that is of professional interest to you. This exploration should contribute value to both a healthcare organization and your professional career development goals.

Note: Each assessment of your capstone project is built on the work you have completed in previous assessments. Therefore, you must complete the assessments in the order they are presented.

Congratulations! You have reached the final course in your MHA academic journey.

You understand that a succinct, substantive, and professional presentation is critical for your first encounter with an executive leadership team. Your task is to construct a concise video introduction about your background and a selected topic that you believe is of high importance to the organization.

For this assessment you will create a brief video in which you present a PowerPoint presentation. In a later assessment in the course, you will create a presentation in a similar format, but longer. This assessment will help you build skills you will use for that later assessment.

Instructions

Create a short (less than 2 minutes) video introduction to yourself using a webcam and PowerPoint slides.

The video may be recorded in Kaltura or other compatible technology where the webcam and slide view are concurrently visible. The Using Kaltura Campus resource can answer many of your Kaltura questions. If you choose to use technology other than Kaltura for your presentation, get permission from your instructor in advance. The requirement is to produce a continuous presentation which does not require manual advances to view slides and hear audio.

Include the following in your presentation:

  • Your name and current or desired employment.
  • Your current or desired area of practice and your desired focus in healthcare.
  • Three NCHL healthcare executive competencies you believe are your strengths.
  • Three NCHL healthcare executive competencies you would like to develop further.
  • The topic area you would like to focus on for a data analysis project in this course. Cite relevant healthcare literature to support your choice of a topic area.
  • The value the data analysis project would bring to a healthcare organization (value proposition).
  • The relevance of the data analysis project to your current or future career interests and goals.

I studied my assosients in science and bachelors in health services administration at Florida national university in 2019 I started working at hialeah hospital as interventional radiology tech and became leed tech in 2021. In 2024 I started a new full-time position interventional radiology tech at mercy hospital wile keeping a part time at hialeah hospital.
