- From the “Master List of Advanced Issues in Forensic Psychology” document in the Learning Resources, select one advanced issue in forensic psychology you will examine for this Discussion.
- Explore the issue using the Learning Resources and your own internet research of reputable resources. Consider the following during your exploration of the issue:
- recent news about the issue
- advantages and challenges related to the issue, including ethical challenges
- potential solutions to address the ethical challenges
- potential solutions to address the issue and foster positive social change
- For this Week 1 Discussion, you will begin to create a narrated PowerPoint with video. Review the “PowerPoint Resources” and Kaltura interactive media in the Learning Resources to support your development of a narrated PowerPoint with video.
- Use the OASIS PowerPoint presentation template in the Learning Resources for the narrated PowerPoint you will begin developing this week and submit in Week 2.
Narrated PowerPoint Requirements:
Your narrated PowerPoint video must be 5-7 minutes in length and contain both a PowerPoint and video of you presenting/narrating the PowerPoint. The content should be substantial and supported with scholarly evidence from your own research and/or the Learning Resources, and properly cited using APA style. Including the following elements in your narrated PowerPoint:
- Title slide
- Issue Description. Describe the current advanced issue in forensic psychology you chose and why you think it is occurring? Include in your description a recent (less than 5 years) example of the issue in the news.
- Advantages. Describe at least two advantages of the issue, supported by research
- Ethical Challenges. Identify at least one ethical challenge related to the issue, supported by research.
- Proposed Solution. Describe your proposed solution for overcoming the ethical challenge you identified, supported by research
- Positive Social Change Impact. Explain how your proposed solution for overcoming the ethical challenge supports social change.
- References
Scholarly evidence from your own research and/or the Learning Resources, properly cited using APA style, and supporting your content.
